Lunch Time

My parents took Troy and the 3 new elders (one companion and the 2 others are in the apartment with him) to lunch on Monday.

Troy's Story

Troy starting having seizures when he was just a baby. He has dealt with them his whole life. Through medication they have controlled them. Since he has been on his mission he has one weekly sometimes daily. He is so upset by them. He has been promised that he will be cured of them through blessings.

My parents for months have been working with the mission president's wife and the nurse to see what they can do for him. He had a MRI done, but still no answers. By some miracle (or the Lord really knows what he is doing) Phoenix is home to one of four groups of specialist around the country that go to more schooling just for seizures.

When they first looked into, they told him that it would take 6 months for an appointment, but one again the Lord had a hand in it, and there was a member that help to get him in within a month.

Through a lot of phone calls, it was decided by the mission president, my parents, the mission nurse and Troy that it would be best if my parents came down to go to the specialist. They left August 24 and will be seeing them on Thursday Aug 25
